Our Research

At GATE America it is our belief that we should constantly re-evaluate the program through research, surveys, and independent research to ensure that we are delivering the very best program for America's youth.

Over the last ten years GATE America has been tracking youths, resurveying them and evaluating the impact of the program, both short-term and long-term. Our initial results were very impressive.

After one year implementation of the program

• 25% reduction in property crimes
• 11% reduction in victimization over a previous 4 year period.
• 17% reduction of alcohol use from grade 7 to grade 8.
• 6% reduction in risk taking behavior.
• 5% increase in associating with peers who are involved in pro-social activities.

Results after a four year program presentation included

• 9% reduction in juvenile shoplifting
• 12% reduction of alcohol use through 9th grade
• 9% reduction of gang related crimes through 9th grade.
